Let me find out a bit more about this..

Does your volume buttons work? If so, when you click them does it show ringer or headphones on the screen?

You said your alarm works, is that the sound for the alarm or just the vibration part?

when you replaced the battery did you remove anything else from the phone? if so, what was it?

Reasons the Loudspeaker won't work.

ALWAYS BE SURE TO RUN A SETTINGS RESET, AS WELL AS A HARD RESET PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING A REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART.

1) most common, the Sound switch was hit on the left side of the frame whilst the repair was being done. this happens regularly and a large number of customers don't use that switch enough for them to realize that it is the cause.

REMEMBER; if you get sound from your alarm, but dont have sound from your texts or voice calls, there is nothing wrong with your speaker.

+ +anything below will not be the case if you have sound on your alarm+ +

2) The second most common issue is board damage. there is a large sum of boards that come in with physical damage to components near the battery connector because of tech error. one of the more common issues is that they physically damage the components when applying too much pressure to the battery connector, and damage the fragile micro components next to it.

3) next most likely, is ESD. People who use metal tools to lift connectors, or don't maintain a static free environment often fry out board level components by accidental shorts.

4) speaker blown. often times, a new battery of low quality, or the above mentioned ESD, cant get into a speaker and blow it. this can happen easily, and not give any signs of happening until you have reassembled and are testing the device.

5) The Charge port flex; damage to the charge port flex is not common during a battery replacement, but has happened before.

6) Integrated board failure. Commonly caused by physical damages or ESD, the board itself can be failing, and all the doctoring in the world cant fix it. replacing the board will resolve this.
