First, try wiping your cache partition with Recovery Mode. If that doesn't work, it's a hardware issue. Take it to a professional.

The speakers never work ? After restart also never sound ?
Then it may be the headphone plug needs to be replaced/cleaned, because it can act as a switch from headphones to internal speaker.
Also the speaker or amp could be dead.
