No Sound when the system starts up?
When I start my PS3 there is no sound. When I play a blu-ray there is no sound either but when I put a game in it plays the sound. Please help.

I have heard about this problem occurring with people using an amplifier in between the PS3 and television. For some reason the amplifier stops supporting certain modes like Dolby digital or Linear PCM. Games have specific audio output settings which and be seen on the bottom of the game casing, and do not usually support multiple options like movies or the system do. I would try bypassing any amplifier and connect straight to TV. If this is not the case I would try changing the output under the Audio Options to see if any of them work for you.
