Optical drive replacement/2nd HD

I see the guide for replacing the optical drive with a second HD for the slightly newer Mini (A1283) but I don't see the same manual for this model (A1176). Is there any reason that this upgrade wouldn't work on the A1176? The store that sells the upgrade kit I would buy, MCE Tech, offers a kit for the "Mac Mini DDR2 SDRAM / 2006-2008" which sounds right; my A1176 is from November 2006. But, if it's not possible for some reason, I'd like to know for sure before I start to buy parts and such. Anyone know?
