I replaced the combo cable, replaced the logic board. And Still...

The display does not work when I plug both the power cable and Thunderbolt cable into my Macbook Pro. However, if I plug a Tbolt cable from the Tbolt display to the MBPro, the display works as expected. I have also: Updated the firmware, did an NVRAM reset, did a SMC reset, checked all board connections multiple times, and the magsafe power plug works as expected. Any Ideas, folks?

Check the thunderbolt port on your MacBook, plug it into something else to see if it works.

Yeah, the Tbolt port works fine on the MBP. When I plug the Tbolt display into it, and the Tbolt xternal drive works fine, so it ain't that...

Did you try the display on another Mac? Also was it working before?

I dont have another Mac with a Tbolt port. Like I said, the Display works when I go from the Tbolt port on the display to the Tbolt in the MBP. Haven't had a problem in 4 years of daily usage. There is obviously an issue with the ability of the display to power the on board ports. None of the ports on the logic board work when using the dual Tbolt/Magsafe cable, which is freshly replaced,AND the charging of the MBP via the Magsafe works exactly as expected...

Opções

try to reinstall the cable. It is possible an internal cable isn't properly connected. Also you might want to check the cable, maybe you received a bad cable.

There is nothing wrong with the cable. Its new. And I tested it with a continuity tester on my voltmeter, so it aint that either
