Why does my digitizer not work after replacement?

Hello IFixIt Forums,

I recently ordered a digitizer off of IFixIt along with their kit, and replaced it. I found out shortly after that the reason why the lcd and nothing else would work was because of long screw damage on the Logic Board. I then ordered the Logic Board and replaced it on the IPad, and it works great now. Everything works, except for one thing:

The Digitizer....

The home button works, the lcd works, everything works except for the actual touch part on the digitizer.

I have tried almost everything, I wiped the IPad, did a hard reset, there is yellow clear tape covering the bottom part of the digitizer where the home button cable is, everything is connected fine, digitizer cable is not bent or broken at all, no pins are missing (looked under magnifying glass) and I can't seem to figure out what is wrong. I ordered everything, all the tools and parts, from IFixIt's website, so I don't know what's wrong.

Thanks for any help you can give me, and if anyone knows if IFixIt has a warranty on any parts, that would be great.

@mayer if you want to see what's wrong with the old digitizer, at least tell me what to look for or if I should provide pictures of everything instead of just saying "we should"

as @mayer says, don't jump to conclusions, it could be a bad digitiser, but it could be a bad logic board instead, especially if the touch is not working at all.

@zakocsm try the old digitiser, to see if the touch works with this (presumably it was cracked originally but still working fine?). Do this first unless you have cut the connector or believe you may have damaged the touch functionality when removing.

Mitch It would help us to know the history of the machine and why you got into it in the first place.

@mayer The screen was cracked. I opened it up to replace the digitizer and followed IFixIt's guide. That's it.
