Thanks on the bottom of the phones keyboard, the square button doesn't work. How do I get it back working?

I was having issues with my left analog stick constantly drifting. Took the controller apart and cleaned it. Now it works great……except the square button doesn't work now. I'm thinking it's the clear film. May have a tear but I can't tell. Hope that info helps someone. Still working on my square button. Thinking about buying another mother board.

I did same thing as Jason above, took controller apart cleaned it thoroughly put back together and square button not working.
Exact same thing happened to me cleaned joysticks sensors and now square button doesn’t respond, I can see and feel it makes contact but no response I was thinking it was the ribbon strip because a couple of connections on the ribbon were folded back from disconnecting and reconnecting so many times maybe this could be the issue?

you can replace the square button. you can order the motherboard from the IFIXIT site. and you can see how to fix also on this site.

Yo no lie all I just did was get some scissors and pull up tried to wedge it in the side and just keep doing that trying to take the square button out than just pull up Spotify and keep trying use square till it work I swear try it
