Has anyone tried to use LOCA glue to just reattach the corner of the screen glass that's started peeling, at least to keep it from separating further? Did it work?

You may be able to reattach this using super glue or LOCA glue, but be careful since this could leak into the LCD or another part.
Doing this will not make it look like the paint never peeled off though. This happens when the screen lifts and the paint sticks to the frame, so the only way to properly fix this is to replace the screen.

No one should have to glue their screen on an 800 dollar phone!

Double Check make sure your frame isn't bent or warped which could be the reason your glass lifted in first place. If that's not the issue you could try adhesive the corner but watch to make sure you don't put more liquid then needed or it could leak down into the LCD and make worse.
