Programming Code displaying on startup sequence

An ipad 2 that had been significantly damaged on the corner. Prior to repair there was no screen sensitivity. I changed the screen and repaired the corner. Once the screen was on the software defaulted to the voice over control. I deactivated the voice over control and everything was working well. This morning, I turned the ipad on to check how it was going after charging it, and the programming code came up and it would not go past the Apple Logo. Since then I have done the following;

1. Hard Reset

2. Connect to itunes and do an update

3. Run an itunes diagnostic on the connectivity of the ipad and

None of these have worked and it will not go past the initial setup phase.

Can anybody shed some light on this?
