Is iPod touch 1g LCD screen compatible with iPod touch 2g?

I have an iPod touch 2g with a cracked LCD screen and I bought my friends 1g iPod touch. Can I take the LCD screen out of the 1g and put it in to the 2g? Both are 32gb.
