New Screen: Now after Startup screen dims

I have replaced with new screen, Phone starts up normally and then brightness seems to fade. I purposely did not say "backlight" due to the fact that the screen did not fade to black but to a darker shade but I can still see everything. I have factory reset the phone and tried another screen still the same, any help please?
