No image and backlight

My nexus 7 has no image and backlight, but booting the OS and the digitizer works. When I put in the new screen, it worked for a second, but the image was distorted, so I tried reseating the connection, and no image ever since. I am using a known good screen, and all the FPC connectors look good. I am suspecting that it may be some voltage regulator for the LCD on the mainboard.

I don't want to be one of those noobs begging for help, but any help is appreciated.
