Is your USB port working with normal USB drive (not the one you are using... bcos ur USB might not work at all)?
If not try updating your USB drivers, that will fix the issue.

it does not detect printers flash etc
Yes its all because of drivers ... once you have complete drivers it will start working normal
Is the unit connected to a Windows 10 PC because Windows 10 currently has an issue with printers connected via usb cords in that windows 10 has an error that microsoft has not fixed. So try using wireless printing or connect it to a computer with windows 8 or 7 or linux.
