TV set is dead

After resetting the Samsung UE37D5000 TV with OK until the led blinks etc I have decided to enter the reserved menu of the TV because my image during playback of movies on HDD suddenly was quite dark and not well defined besides the fact the all the other functions were ok. On the diagnostic it said that " T-con Failure"

I played a bit with the menu and submenu and suddenly the power went off.

Now the TV is dead.

The red LED doesn't display anymore etc.

I made some test. The fuse is okay on the PSU. It seems all the voltages are there. From a visual inspection no capacitor seem bulky.

I tried to disconnect the Logic Board and all back light led's came on. I suspect the T-Con but I am not sure. Any advise? Even because to find the T-Con is quite a challenge.

Kindly advise if you can or if possible some logical tips after all the mess I did and for which I only have to complain to myself.

it probably isn't dead, a relay might have triggerd and made the light disappear, or you may have to use the remote tv button power on the said tv.

Hi Bacon, no I did not manage. I tried several time and it is a touch screen control on the operate etc. I think I killed the tv hehehe. Shame it was so nice and crispy apart from the HDD.

Hi Mayer, thanks a lot to you too. I will definitely have a look at the site. I review anyway some other sites and they say that if the light goes white (in the dark) the t-con is gone. My tv is dead completely but as I said if I remove the logic board flat cable the back lights go on. Confusion !!!!
