How do I sync the controller to the drone?

When I turn on the drone and remote, then throttle up to fly nothing happens.

If my controller on my U818A has broke is there a way to use an other controller of the same make and model drone.

Plug in the battery on the drone, turn on the remote, move the left stick up and back down.
