repair for a dropped phone

I dropped the phone on its edge. The phone shows no sign of damage: no screen damage etc that can be seen. However, when I try to type, the first line of letters (qaz) do not work. The rest of the keyboard is fine. This occurs whether I try to use it in landscape or vertically. The phone is 7 months old. Should I get the phone repaired or just look to buying a new phone.
