Is this Sony S-frame digital photo frame fixable?

Hi:

I received, as a present, a Sony S-frame for digital photos. The frame lasted, at the most, only 3 years when the screen went blank and only two horizontal lines could be seen. After I disconnected it, the photos were shown in distorted colors. The most accurate description to describe the problem, would be to compare it to when you saw the negatives in old analog film. I took a photo of the digital frame, displaying this problem, which can be seen in this link:

My question is: Can this digital frame be fixed? Or would it be more expensive to do it and instead the cheaper solution would be to buy a new one? Of course not another Sony, I had a SD Sony TV and also broke off and after fixing it (Quite expensive!) the same problem arose after several years.
