i just dropped my Nexus 5. the screen is not even scratched but the right side doesn't respond to inputs. and there are strange vertical lines as shown

mobile is out of warranty. can this be repaired ? and what part is responsible for this defect

mohamed shaban, that is a broken LCD. Your glass and digitizer are not cracked, but your LCD sure is. Replace the complete assembly to repair your phone. Use this guide right to step 4 to fix it.
