Replacement volume button did not have insert?

Hi, I wanted to replace my iphone 5 back cover and bought one from ebay. It came with power, silent and volume buttons. When I fixed the volume button, I found that it is looser than the original. Then I noticed that the original volume button has two small circular inserts stuck under them; but the replacement button only have an indent without the inserts. Without these inserts, the button did not work well. When the original is used, the phone volume control works well. How do I transfer these insert to the new button? Or should I buy one with them? A look at ebay pictures found that most DO NOT have these insert. Please advice.

Did you mean this part? And it's said it can be tore down, so you can try to move it from your old back cover to the new one.

No, I meant the button itself. If you look at the back of the button you will see two thin circular metallic discs (inserts). In the replacement button that I bought, there are only two indents and there are no circular disc attached.

Guys, I found that some buttons sold in ebay DO have these circular inserts. So buyers, if you are buying to replace your buttons or your back casing with buttons that goes with it, make sure that your volume buttons have these circular inserts and the power button has the small little ring/strip wire attached to it!

You should be able to pry those metal discs off of the old button using a thin razor blade (be careful) and stick them to the new button.

I have not been able to pry it; though it did move. Not wanting to wreck it, i didn't proceed. If someone knows how to do this, would be good to have it posted.

Using an X-ACTO blade I was able to get under the discs and remove them both in less than a minute. I doubt you will damage the button using this method.

OK, thanks. I think this is doable.
