Ghost touch when screen gets pressed

I have tried several screens, the touch works if the screen it straight out, but once its laid down it goes crazy, even more when its pressed down on any side. I have tried the tape on the cable my the home button, tapping all the bottom part of the digitizer, co ering all metal contacts, etc. Still no luck, even after trying several screens. Help?

Any dents or dings on the frame?

Sounds like the digitizer isn't lining up right causing the ghost touches. This is usually because the frame is bent causing the digitizer to be pinched for lack of a proper word. I use a G Tool to remove major dents and a file for the little ones. Its always better to take care of every dent you see to prevent this kind of thing.

If there are no dents or removing the dents didn't fix the issue, the problem is going to be on the digitizer connector to the mainboard. A good dose of 99% IPA should clean it out and fix most issues. If that doesn't fix it, examine the connector under a microscope. Any scratches? Any issues at all with the connector? A broken connector is a pretty straight forward hot air solder job. If you see scratches or damage to the traces, you have a fun micro soldering project.

Use plastic tools when disconnecting the digitizer cable to prevent damage to the connector and the board. Its way too easy to use a screwdriver or metal spudger and scratch something that will end up costing you hours in labor for not taking 2 seconds to pick up a different tool.

Make sure the digitizer cable isn't getting pinched between the glass and metal chassis. That could be causing the glitches.

Not pinched at all, it folds nicely on the gap by the lcd cable.

What do you use to clean the connector cable with IPA (IsoPropyl Alcohol)? Do you submerge the cable in it? Do you just clean it with a lint free cloth?
