Why wont it let me turn it on?

I have had this Samsung Galaxy Nexus for 2 months and whenever I try to turn it on with a simple push of a button it wont. I have currently looked at some of these questions and tried all of them and not one has seemed to work. This is really frustrating and I dont know why this problem has occured. If anyone else has this problem and has any suggestions that would be great, well then again there is a ton of responses and none of them seem to work, they always make the situation worse. well anyways thank you for fully reading my problem and feel more than welcome to give me responses its just something cool to try to fix for my son.
