Audio Jack Connecting Socket

Hi, I was too rough pulling the audio jack flexi ribbon out of the socket and need to replace the connector on the motherboard but cant seem to find how many pins the connector has anywhere! Are you able to help? Any ideas where to find the info I need please reply :)

Hi Kayleb,

The part you are looking for (FPC connector J5501) has 37 pins. This connector is also used on the same logic board for attaching the front panel (i.e. the two identical connectors at the bottom of the logic board). You can order it here.
