Why won't my laptop turn on?

Jacob DeWar, you did not tell us what you have tried or how long this has been going on. Unplug all devices that are connected to your computer, remove the power adapter, the battery and the RAM. Hold the power button down for at least 30 seconds. then plug your computer in and see if it starts. Check your AC adapter with a multimeter. Measure the DC voltage on the barrel output and see if it gives you a minimum of 19V. If it does, check the DC jack. It is mounted on the motherboard. Make sure that a. you get power to the contacts of the jack, and b. that it is still properly soldered to it. If all that checks out you do want to check the power button, make sure that it is working. Let us know what you find. Hope this helps, good luck.
