cameras do not work
tryign to repair a ipad mini retina that a dog ate (yes a dog actually ate it) everything works fine but the cameras. any ideas on where to go next?

First, make sure no running multiple apps and opening the camera at the same time, and factory reset or reroot the device.
Then, check the camera and ensure its connector not loose or give the camera a few sturdy tap.
At last, if you are sure it's caused by physical damage, you can choose to buy new replacement, maybe both the iPad mini2 front camera and back camera.
The worst situation, the connectors on-board are damaged, you should send it for professional re-solder and replace.
