My ipad just stopped playing sound except through the headphone. I search the problem and tried all of the possible solutions(reset, blow out jack, clean jack, plug headphone in and out, etc) but none of them worked. I know that the speakers work because I occasionally get some notification noises.

Did you do software restore? A hard reset will solve some problems, but this sounds like you may need to restore the software from scratch.

Thanks for responding. I removed all apps and then did reset but still no sound. It is driving me crazy to not be able to use it for music, alarms, alerts, etc.
Is your iPad under warranty still? This should be covered under warranty if there is no significant signs of damage to the external of the iPad.
Unfortunately not under warranty. It is a first generation.
Bummer! Yeah, you either have a defective sound chip, or you need to replace the headphone jack. Both of these repairs are difficult.
