What's wrong with it?

por

Is the phone "locked" to a UK provider?

por

The phone is not locked to a UK Provider it is a gsm factory unlocked phone.

The phone will not turn on, when pressing the power button only a red flash by the proximity sensor. I've tried a friends battery in my phone and did not work placed my battery in his and it did. So it's not a battery/ charging issue.

So they had no luck on fixing my issue, but they are sending me back my phone and refunding everything but $15 from what i paid. next step will be taking it apart and replacing some of the phone and hopefully that works.

So what happenned, did they fix your phone? What was the solution, did they change the insane chip?

Solução escolhida

I'm having the same problem but here is what I was able to find.

Download and install this EMMC and Dummy file generator

If the EMMC gives you insane ship then you are one of the unlucky people like me. Try then the dummy file application, some people reported it helped.

To be honest, I feel it's a temporarily solution. It seems that Samsung doesn't use Good quality components. I've tried stock ROM and everything out so far the alliance-rom.com is the best stable one with me. After the installation you might try to install the Perseus kernal. Mine is better than before.

Good luck,

Zak

Well this is an email I received form mobile tech videos "Hi Skyler,

We have attempted to repair your phone at this time via JTAG but during testing we discovered your eMMC chip is bad. We do however offer eMMC chip repair for this model. There is a difference in price from our JTAG repair to the eMMC chip repair service as it requires much more skill and takes about 1.5 hours to complete. Our policy is that you can transfer 100% of your initial money paid towards this service so you are not "double charged" on your order. We always treat our customers fairly. The total charge of the eMMC chip repair using the original 16GB chip with your ROM/ROOT, SIM Unlock and JIG option is $176.00. "

Had to delete part of the email but that wasn't much importance so I'm going to pay the $75 for it. Hopefully that works.

Wouldn't happen to have a link to the repair place? My note2 bricked after t yrs and if it can have a non destructive repair it would be huge. Last 2-3 years of contacts &texts are critical...need them recovered!

I am in USA.
