Gyroscope not working after screen replacement

recently I replaced the screen on an iPod Touch 4G, and after the repair going well and re-assembling the device, I noticed that the gyroscope/tilt sensor was not working, I have tried all the obvious things like orientation lock, reset and restore so I'm nearly sure its a hardware issue. I was wondering of anybody out there knows of any way other than replacing the logic board that I could repair the gyro chip?
