Not working earphone Speaker after Screen replacement

Not working earphone Speaker after Screen replacement.

During assembly one of the metal pieces, which belong under the lcd from the speaker enclosure broke.

Is this the problem?

Or should i just open it and replace the speaker?

Does it have any effect that this metal piece broke?
