$50 Touchbar MacBook Pro blank touch and random restart issue?

I just got a MacBook Pro from a recycler for $50. It charges, I was able to reset OSX, and use it as expected except the Touch Bar is totally blank and I’ve had it restart stating an issue has occurred twice. I’d like to try to troubleshoot the touch bar first. I was wondering if anyone has some suggestion on what I should look at for this? My first plan of action tonight is to check the ribbon cable connector. I opened it up last night and it seems to be very clean overall with no appearance of liquid damage. I also noticed in the settings nothing for the Touch Bar show up? I’d assume this is expected if it’s not working? Thanks everyone!
