Have you tried using the FN8 key?  Some people have issues getting the FN keys to work- you can try downloading the Power Management Driver from Lenovo's website, which will allow you to access all of the FN keys on your keyboard.

If you don't want the Lenovo display popping up every time you use it, you can simply install the driver, turn on wifi, and then uninstall it.  Hope this helps.
