iPhone 5c: What is wrong with my touchscreen?

I had a cracked screen for a while on my phone, but the touchscreen was working fine. I ordered a new screen for my phone but it ended up not working, so I put the old cracked screen back on until the new-new screen came in to replace it. Now, this was my 1st time doing this type of repair on my phone, and once I put my old cracked screen back on, the touchscreen got really buggy. It'll work fine for a while but then it'll start ghost clicking all over the place and won't respond to where my finger clicks. If I locked then unlocked my phone it would usually stop and I could continue. I thought, it's fine, I'll just have it be like this until my new screen comes in. Once I replaced it the 2nd time, it was running smoothly at first, but after a few days, the problem returned, and now it's starting to get progressively worse. Locking/unlocking it doesn't seem to do the trick anymore.

I read online about maybe finger oils getting in the connector and I cleaned it several times. Also heard about letting my phone die and then restarting to see if it was an electrical problem, also didn't work. There's also the option of the connector on the logic board being messed up, but I opened it up and the connector looked fine, none of the little metal pegs were bent or missing or anything. So I was just wondering what could be wrong with it. Is it a problem with the logic board, will I need to replace that? I know the problem most likely arose with my 1st attempt at trying to replace my screen which wasn't the cleanest. I just wanted a confirmation from someone that it's most likely the logic-board that needs to be replaced because the problem is happening no matter which screen is connected.

Thanks for any help/advice.

iPhone 5c: After replacing the screen twice, my iPhone 5C clicks in weird places.

So I run a small town repair business at my high school. It's only existed a few months, and on my 3rd device, an iPhone 5C, things are going waaay wrong. And I'm struggling a bit. Care to help?

I am not hasty or impulsive at all when it comes to repairs. I have an ifixit toolkit, a magnetic project mat, ischlack, and everything one would need to do a repair effectively. When I do repairs, I have iCracked's full length replacement video as well as iFixit's guide open (mostly for screw sizes). It takes me about 2 hours to do a repair. So when I gave the device back after only some basic testing, and the poor girl reported the phone having an unstable touchscreen, I was really nervous. I took it home and tested it, and sure enough, the thing was a mess. It kept scrolling all over the place, the screen straight up stopped working at minute intervals, and browsing through apps like the notes section or instagram were impossible - jerking, rapid movement, the whole shebang. I took it apart again and examined the pins, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary under my magnifying glass.

iFixit, my parts supplier, graciously sent me a replacement after 1 call.

Now, I've just finished the second screen replacement, and things are better, but unacceptable still. In spurts, the screen works beautifully, like new. But within a few seconds, it has now decided to click random apps, go completely nuts and pull down search every 2 seconds.

This is a paying customer. My buisness will shut down if I have to borrow a few hundred dollars for a new phone. I simply wouldn't be able to pay it.

Will a hard reset help in this situation? Could it be the software is rejecting the new hardware?

Please, please help.

EDIT: Also, I should mention that oddly, the screen resets this spasm right after you lock it and unlock it again.

I also just tested it with a timer - spasms can take 5 seconds to a minute and a half to occur.

I dropped my IPhone 5c on my wooden floor and it wouldn't turn back on. So I tried plugging it in and all it does is repeatedly make the sound of the IPhone when plugging it in. It recognizes it on ITunes. I even bought tools to open the phone and tried to give a gentle push on all the cables to make sure none came lose and nothing seems to be working. I've tried holding the lock and home button down and just holding the home button down, but that didn't help. I've tried recovering the phone on ITunes and it says I need to disable some buttons on ICloud, but I can't turn on my phone to do that. PLEASEE SOMEONE HELP!! I really need it back on and don't have the money to be buying another phone.

iPhone 5c: itunes error (50) when in recovery mode

Hello I got an Iphone 5C model A1507 ! It hard some searching issues, but i didnt pay too much attention to it thinking it was my network provider's fault! I changed the screen that had a crack! And when I did assemble everything, I got stucked on apple logo, so I connect it to iTunes, and it asked me to restore it!

When I tried to restore it, it restores to 75% and then stops and says "this iphone could not be restored, error (50) occured" on Mac, and the same occurs on Windows but with error (1).I went to few forums, tried all the first safety steps, but nothing solved my problem!

So I was wondering, is it software or is it hardware related?

I dismantle it to clean the logic board with isopropyl to see if I could get some results!Nothing changed!

So I went to few more forums, and found out that it was related mostly to the logic board, mostly because possibility of unsoldered chip baseband (responsible for the network signal)! It says also it could be the SIM card reader, but most of the time, it is more often linked to the baseband chip! The problem is that kind of soldering is called micro-soldering , and it's not any shop next door, that can do that, you need proper equipment to do that!

So my question is simple, does someone knows addresses of shops doing this kind of works, from reliable sources?

(Updated with I hope correct syntax, sorry I am French and I typed it from my iPad)

iPhone 5c: 5C bad drop no touch/copy screens do not work

Hello,

Apologies if this has been answered before but I couldn't find anything that quite matched my problem.

Got in a 5C to recover the data after a bad drop, touchscreen didn't function and there were very faint white vertical lines through the LCD. I tried a new screen, and was presented with a dark blue image (as if not connected correctly). I reseated etc and tried two more screens all of which had the same problem. These screens work on other phones. The original screen still has the same issue if plugged back in. Taking a known good genuine screen from another 5C presents the same problem as the original screen. To summarise : copy screens don't work and genuine screens have no touch on this phone.

I've tried disconnecting the battery and all the obvious solutions. I peeled off the black tape and have examined every component around the connectors and everything appears to be okay. Phone is not water/liquid damaged in any way.

Thanks in advance,

iPhone 5c: Nand flash error/ error recovering

Hi

Been given an iPhone 5c which someone has attempted to replace the screen themselves, by the looks of it, they have bought a whole unit with the flex assembly built on, as the copper tape looks untouched/brand new.

Anyway, 2 faults are lines going down the middle of the screen. And comes up with different errors when trying to recover (it's stuck on the "plug into itunes")

The lines was simple, looks like a faulty screen, as I put a my own on there and it displays without the line.

The second though, I can not get past the different itunes errors which point to the usual, try a different cable etc.

When it boots, apple logo shows up, and then you get the nand flash error 601, then it comes up with the error on iTunes.

I've disconnected the front camera, as that usually gets damaged, and I've unclipped every flex cable apart from the charging port so it can still talk to the pc.

Tried the host files, different cables, different usb slots, but the same every time.

So I've taken the rubber off where you would attempted lcd, and directly under where the face time camera will snap in, it looks like a resistor of some sort is missing? Could this be the problem?

The picture isn't brilliant, but it's where the bottom right screw hole is, 4th resistor from three right, just under where the camera plugs in.
