iPhone 5: I can not get out of recovery mode, iTunes Error 46?

Hey everybody,

I have following situation: After changing my battery my iPhone does not work anymore and iTunes tells me Error of no 46. My phone stucks in recovery mode and does not do anything.

Apple says it is a hardware problem but any ideas how I can fix it? Should I open the iphone and get off the battery and try it again ? Maybe the guy messed it up after changing the battery?

Thanks for your answers

iPhone 5: My iPhone 5 won't charge

Hello,

My iPhone 5 one day needed to have its power button replaced which, I did myself. After the repair the phone worked great and the battery soon died. When I tried to charge it it wouldn't charge at all. I ended up deciding it was maybe the connection which I replaced and still no luck. I next thought it would be the battery but before I decided to buy a new one, I had a battery that would barely hold a charge from a customer I had a few months back. I put it in and it surprisingly worked and i immediately tried to charge it but it wouldn't charge. The phone worked for like 5 minutes because the battery was bad. So now I'm in the conclusion that the phone doesn't charge the battery. I have to put in a charged battery for the phone to work but when it dies I have to replace it with a charged battery to work.

Can someone please post some suggestions to try to get this problem fixed or maybe to someone that can fix it for me. I want to get my phone working again!

Thank You

Sincerely,

Jeremiah

So I know how to remove the LCD and un-solder it from the rest of the screen, but I can't see to get the digitizer off of the old glass to put on a new one. Can anyone tell me what I need or how to do it? I have a heat gun, soldering iron, etc. I know I may need a hot plate, but will it be super difficult?

iPhone 5: Why is my iPhone 5's home button rotating?

After dropping my iPhone 5 (CDMA A1429), I broke the digitizer and LCD. After replacing the entire part and reassembling the phone, the home button began to rotate, or feel loose. If I put very light pressure (not clicking) and move my finger to the right or left, the home button will move with it. It will not move very far, but has that loose feeling. Would I just need to also replace the home button, home button ribbon cable, or both? I checked the screws of the plate that holds the home button in place and the gasket is on it. What else can I try? As I am writing this, I noticed as when it rotates, it makes a click sound. If any other information is needed, please ask. Thanks!

After doing a screen replacement I am missing parts on my logic board, I must have broke them off. I cant seem to understand how to fix it. Everyone says to make a jumper on this resistor near the front camera flex connector using a circuit writer pen, but I don't know what that it is, or how to do it. Some point at just one resistor, others say make a jumper between one resistor and another. Can someone specify which one, if possible provide a picture and label it and how to do it? I'm extremely desperate at this point. Thank you so much.

Hello community,

(sorry for mistakes, english is not my first language but i hope you understand)

a friend of mine broke the glass of his iPhone 5 and asked me to replace it (only the glass). I watched a few tutorials in the internet where some people show how to separate the glass and the display and put a new glass on the display. I saw that they used a 70% oder 90% alcohol disinfection.

What i couldn't find is which type of glue/adhesive the used and where to buy it in the EU.

iPhone 5: Most likely cause of digitizer problem after water damage

Last weekend, my wife took my 3 year old daughter to a friend's birthday pool party. My wife ended up jumping in the pool to save a kid and had her phone in her pocket (iphone 5). I had her put it in rice until I was able to take it apart. I cleaned all the connections with 91% isoproply alcohol, dried it with a hair drier then let it sit over night. I put it back together the following day (Sunday) and it worked, except for he vibration mech. I had to go on travel on Tuesday and literally, a hour after i left the digitizer stopped working. It's not Saturday, I took it back apart, thinking the connection needed to be cleaner of the cable reseated, but neither seems to be working. I haven't replaced the battery, but I know I should do that. Anything I should try before buying a new front assembly? Thanks!
