Apple Watch Series 4: Replacing the LCD vs only the Front Glass

I am looking to fix my Apple Watch screen. There’s no actual damage to the watch or how it runs. No touch screen issues either. There is only scratches in the glass from it being scraped on the concrete (long story). Kit wise: I see an option to replace the entire LCD or only purchase the replacement Glass. I just don’t want to order/replace an expensive full LCD as it’s much more difficult than just the glass screen.

Apple Watch Series 4: Is my screen dead or is it a cable issue?

Hi all,

My apple watch screen suddenly went bright green/yellow (see video). The digitiser still works and the watch hardware is ok (siri will answer). If its the cable, then I'll open it up.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/1yjp7Mj4h...

Sadly the cost for a 44mm replacement is more than the watch is woth.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi, unfortunately while changing the battery of my watch, I destroyed the bridge of the adhesive (with copper underneath) between the middle “island” and the right “island”. It should be connected like the left “island”. Hope someone understands and sees what I mean. Please see my photo.

Now, with the new battery, I cannot start the watch. The Apple symbol pops up for a few seconds, but nothing happens. Is this destroyed bridge the reason?

How can I repair the connection or get a spare part?

Apple Watch: Ripped during a repair. But what exactly is it?

Hello!

When I was trying to take the screen back off of my watch after removing adhesive and pausing the project for a little while, the screen wouldn’t come off.

I stuck a piece of tape to the screen and slowly pulled it off but I must’ve used too much pressure because I ripped what I believe are two copper traces in a flex cable.
Apple Watch Series 2: Why is the new battery worse?

I recently replaced the screen on my wife’s watch and figured I should replace the battery since it was open. The screen replacement went great but the battery I bought from ifixit seems terrible. Are the batteries sold, used or new? I have a series 1 Apple Watch that has its original battery and its life is still way longer than the series 2 replacement battery. I unpaired and set up the Apple Watch as a new watch and updated the software. I also turned off background app refresh but we can’t even get a full day from it. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance for any help?

Apple Watch Series 4: How to remove the digitizer (no glass) from OLED panel?

I tried to do a glass-only repair and remove the OLED+digitizer+polarizer from the (cracked) glass instead of removing the digitizer+polarizer+glass from the OLED panel. It didn’t go well… I have a polarizer (I think) that’s flaking off and a small bubble imperfection on the edge of the digitizer. The display and touch both work, but I can’t reassemble it this way. Photos attached.

How do I remove the digitizer from the OLED panel without ruining the OLED? I tried heat once and it burned the OLED, presumably since there was no glass to act as a heat sink. What’s the best way to do this? I really don’t want to ruin the panel… they’re so expensive. Thanks in advance!
