Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 Not Turning On

Is your Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 not turning on when the power button is depressed? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

First you must make sure that your system is getting power.

•  Check if your Lenovo ThinkPad has an AC power status indicator light and it turns on. If the AC power status indicator light does not turn on, or there is no status indicator on your machine you need to check the outlet and the AC power adapter.
• Check if the power outlet is working by plugging another device on it so that we can disregard that as a cause. Make sure the power and other cables are connected tightly to the laptop and the wall outlet. Look for any wears or tears in the cable. You can also try unplugging and plugging the power source cable back in the outlet again.

You can only do this task if the laptop battery is internal otherwise skip to "Battery Failure".

• Before performing a power drain, unplug the power cable and disconnect all external devices from the outlet. Use a straight paper clip to press the Emergency-reset hole on the bottom of the laptop or in the external battery slot.
• On other laptops to perform a power drain, press and hold the power/off button for 10 seconds.
• Instead of performing a power drain, you can reset the BIOS on the laptop. Some laptops come with a novo button, this is another pinhole button on one side or bottom of the laptop. Press and hold the novo button for 10 seconds. If you can power the machine using the Novo button, then the issue is probably with the power button.

The laptop might just need to be charged.

• Connect the charger to the laptop and leave it charging for 10-15 minutes.
• If that doesn't work, you can also try taking the battery out of the device for a few minutes, then putting it back in.
