i have the same issue. i replaced the screen of my t100ta-c2-edu and was super careful with all the hardware. the backlight comes on but theres nothing on the screen. I've re-seated the MB, video and battery cables a few times and they're all connected tightly. I've tried this key combination and others I've read about and i cant get anything to display. it was working fine before the screen was replaced. i hate to think this thing is now a paper weight but thats the way its looking :( any ideas? Update (10/25/2017): UPDATE: so the most insane thing I've ever seen and experienced in my IT career - the tablet needs to have the back cover on it in order for it to work. In my case anyway. I left the back cover off cause i wanted to make sure it was going to work before i snapped the cover on. I had given up on getting this to work after replacing the screen and trying everything i saw on the web to get it to show something on the screen and i snapped the cover back on and on a whim pressed the power button...
that youtube video is great. i just used it to replace the screen on my friends asus t100TA. unfortunately now my tablet won't boot up. a white light flashes 4 times when i press the power button and the screen's backlight comes on but theres nothing on the screen. SO if anyone has any direction with that issue, id appreciate it.
i have this same problem after replacing the screen. all the connections are great and ive re-seated the screen, MB and battery connections a couple times but all i get is the back light and a white light flashes 4 times when i press the power button. no image, etc. anyone figure this out? nadeem, that wasn't the case for mine. I even took the ram out and it did the same thing. the motherboard should have beeped at me, essentially saying the ram was missing, but it didn't. thats why i think, on mine anyway, the MB was toast. Ive read a lot about this issue with this model. Seems to be the case.
This worked perfectly for a couple of my IBM Lenovo R61s. It was spot on except in step 3 you need to remove both screws by the red circles in order to the get inside bezel off, for the R61 anyway. Thanks for the great tutorial!
This guide was awesome. I used JerseyJeepGurl's suggestion and used an egg carton, numbering each cavity as a step in the guide. So for a step that had me remove 3 different kinds of screws, I had a cavity for each, numbered: 1a, 1b, 1c and wrote a,b,c on the guide itself next to each bullet point in the step. It was awesome.
I guess that before starting I overlooked what a T6 torx actually was. I started this process at 8pm and realized right away that I did not have a set that small and of course all stores were closing. Lowes actually had an awesome fine torx driver set for only 7 bucks!
perfect guide! thanks a mil.
I didn't think i would find a guide for my 6540b let alone the exact procedure I need. Thanks a million!

Very easy to follow. Replacing the HDD on these unibodies is super easy. Thanks for the guide.
