I am also having this issue. Tried replacing loud speaker as well as the charging port. I’m starting to suspect audio ic chip damage on the board but I can’t say for sure.
Probably a poor connection or static/grounded screen. Open and inspect. Disconnect the battery and LCD. Reconnect and test before putting it back together. Try a new LCD if that doesn’t work but a replacement device might make more sense at that stage. Good luck
This sounds like classic Red Screen of Death for the older iPhone models. Its usually a faulty battery connector on the board, corrupted data, or defective logic board. I would try the restore first through itunes if you can, as that would be the more affordable solution. Battery connector issues (likely problem with red screens) is a complicated repair that would require microsoldering a new battery connector on to the motherboard. I would have a seasoned tech do this if you don’t have experience with microsoldering. If these solution don’t work, the board is bad and its time for a new phone. Good luck
If your console beeps and then turns off with out the fan turning on, your console thinks its going to over heat and turns off. More then likely one of two things is happening (1) your fan is busted (2) your thermal paste needs replacement (very likely) I would try the paste first as it is the more affordable repair and very easy. Follow this guide on how to take it apart. Clean off your crusted paste with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a clean toothbrush or non-static cloth. Replace it with a pea-sized bit of thermal paste (available at Best Buy and the sort on short notice). Put it together and power it up. Just did this for a customer and it worked. If this is not a solution, source your fan using parts number located on the side of the fan component. In the unlikely even it is your power supply that has gone bad, use the same method to source that part. Lots of people saying a hair drier or heat gun or canned air as a temporary fix. This is a temporary fix and I don’t recommend it. Be sure to keep your...
