HOWDY Y'ALL ¶

My name is Isaias and I am currently a graduate student within Cal Poly's Master's of Public Policy program. As an undergraduate, I had the privilege of studying mechanical engineering and have gained quite an interest in the realm of product repair and maintenance.

I am sincerely grateful and happy to be a part of this team, and I look forward to seeing iFixit's vision become a reality.

ABOUT ME ¶

Ever since I was 11, I've competed in the sport of wrestling. Year round, in season and off season.

Wrestling is what got me to Cal Poly. As a sport, wrestling has significantly contributed to my character development and growth as an individual and I will always be grateful for the lessons I have gained from it.

ALAS, LIFE KNOWS BEST ¶

After over a decade of competing, (4 years at the D1 NCAA level), back to back ACL reconstructions caused me to re-evaluate the trajectory of my athletic career.

A blessing in disguise, this "setback" pushed me to find new forms of self expression, as well as giving me the opportunity and time to be involved with other aspects of college aside from athletics. Becoming more involved with the campus and local community through projects and ventures, ultimately is what guided me towards finding a passion for public service. I aim not to measure the sum of my life based on the accomplishments or possessions I acquire, but by the impact that I leave in the lives of those around me.
