You say it’s a new drive. As it says elsewhere on this site “Be aware that the optical drive is "married" to the motherboard. If you need to replace your optical drive you must remove the motherboard on the original optical drive and install it on the drive you intend to install in your PS4. “ So: If you didn’t and have thrown the old drive away, then it’s not going to work. If you still have the old drive, try transferring the old drives motherboard to the new one
why a repeat of step 41 pic on step 42 and 43? Pix of the internals of the drive could be useful.
The guide needs to mention that the LCD is firmly glued.. Mine was bust anyway, but Step 19 is not fit for purpose.
