Often times, the capacitors in monitors and TV's that are in the power supply will go bad and cause the display to act up as soon as they have time to charge. If you take apart the TV and look at the capacitors (Probably the tallest cylindrical component) and see that they have a slight or large bulge in the top of them that means they are bad. In that case read the numbers on the side of the bad ones and replace them with an equal or greater valued capacitor. The metal part on the top of the capacitors should be completely flat. Hope this works.
Saiba maisIt would help to know what model the phone is but the two easiest things to try would be to disconnect the battery and plug it back in or to hold the power and or home button for 20 or so seconds in order to do a hard reset. If these don't work it might be the lcd that is broken. In order to test if the screen is broken plug it in to a computer after trying to turn it on and see if the computer recognizes that it is plugged in. If it does you will most likely need to replace the screen. Hope this works.
Saiba maisIf most dents are on the bottom of the macbook the repair will be quite easy. All that needs done in this case is undo the 6 or so bottom screws and swap the bottom plate. If they are on the side or keyboard/trackpad area they will be a little more tough to fix but still quit doable. In this case you will need to remove the motherboard, battery, track pad, hard drive and all the rest of the cables and hardware that isn't included in the replacement body and reinstall them into the replacement. If they are in the lid then you will probably need a new screen as well because I think the lid is bonded to the lcd. As for replacement parts I would look on the ifixit store or ebay first to see if there are any available. Also if you need instructions to disassemble it they can be found here MacBook Air 13" Early 2015. I hope all goes well.
Saiba maisAfter more research I have found that most smartphone manufactures do not release schematics for there devices. So it looks like I am out of luck for finding schematics unless they are released. I will try to troubleshoot with my multi meter more and hopefully be able to find the broken connection or component.
Saiba maisSorry if this seems trivial to you, but is the little switch on the card in the unlocked position? On most cards it needs to be closer to the end with the pins.
Saiba maisThis is possible but only if the touch screen still works,. If it doesn't you will need the digitizer as well. While it is possible though, it can be very challenging especially with large screens. The glass is usually glued to the LCD, which needs to be heated and then pryed apart without breaking the LCD. Afterwards you must glue the new glass on with LOCA glue, which can produce some less than satisfactory results if not done carefully. The LOCA glue needs to be hardened with a UV light as well, but these can be easily purchased. Hope this helps.
Saiba maisThe first thing to do with water damage is to disassemble the device and clean the corrosion or water off the components with isiprople alcohol. After this inspect the board for damaged components which would be blackened or deformed. If everything looks good reassemble it and try to turn it on. If there are damaged components replace them. Ifixit did a great series on water damage here http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DsDpALKQjUQ. Hope this helps.
Saiba maisWell I'm not sure if this is the case in apple monitors but in most lcd monitors the first component to go bad is the capacitors in the power supply. This will cause the display to turn on very dim and take several minutes to brighten up or to display black. If you think the monitor is at fault and you have checked your connections thoroughly it might be worth taking it apart to look at the capacitors. If they are bad they will sometimes have a bulge on the top, they should (when working correctly) be perfectly flat. They can go bad without the bulge but this could be a good place to start.
Saiba maisWhile it is technically possible for them to replace only the glass it would be more time consuming than it is worth. Since the glass and lcd are bonded on most phones, replacing only the glass would require then to separate the panels and reglue a new piece of glass. This can end up breaking the LCD and when it does work the results usually are not as good as new. In the end it is more reliable for a big company just to replace the whole unit, however if you were to replace the glass yourself you could save some money. From someone who has replaced the glass only on a galaxy note 2 though, I would say it isn't worth it if you are going to be using the phone as your daily driver.
Saiba maisThe flickering is caused by a broken lcd panel. If the touch stops responding the digitizer would be the broken piece. However large displays usually have both the digitizer and lcd bonded with glue. In that case it is easiest and quickest to just replace both pieces as a unit.
