Hello, thanks for the tutorial. My mouse is the same as this model.

From time to time it simply disconnects by itself and after a few seconds, it reconnects. I’ve changed batteries already.

This one problem is very annoying, but it works perfectly and I’d really like to keep using it - so I wish I could fix it to continue using it.

Do you guys know anything I could do to solve this?

Mine disconnects after a few minutes of being idle. I just click the left mouse button once to “wake” it. Moving the mouse around will not wake it. I think this is by design to prevent the radio to the USB dongle from needlessly draining the battery. If this is different from what you are experiencing, then the other thing to do would be to consider whether you have other wireless devices that could be causing interference.

Thank you for this guide. I just used it to inspect the wheel. Mine was causing “up-and-down” scrolling behavior on the screen despite rolling the wheel only down. After using this guide to disassemble and clean the mouse, it is working perfectly again.

I have the same problem with the scroll wheel. I know how to open the mouse, however, what type of cleaning did you do in order to get the wheel to work properly again?

Thank you

@zalmanrosenthal Sorry for the late reply (this is my first time visiting this page), but it turned out my scroll wheel had accumulated a bunch of dust and hair around the axle. I hadn't noticed a tactile difference, so I hadn't known about it until I opened my mouse up this afternoon. I detached the wheel and was able to slip the tangled debris off after loosening it with an exacto blade. If you plan to clean your mouse to fix this issue, check that area first. I also recommend fully disassembling and dusting the inside of the mouse to prevent any hidden debris from messing things up the second you close it again. (It sounds gross, but I have a couple of pets in the house. I've also had this mouse for a few years at this point.)
