This is great, thank you Larry. I'd wondered about the possibility of upgrading the battery to one that lasts longer between charges but I had no idea how to open the case. It didn't occur to me that the screws would be under the rubber feet!

Dear Larry, can you give me capture specific card power close to battery. Because i got resistor blown in that card, and i don't know specific value of this resistor. Many Thanks in advance

One speaker started to give a lot of distortion making it unusable. Repositioned speaker in the heavy (magnet) housing and it's all good again.

Thank you for the opening tips and pics!

Larry,

My mini connector for dc into the board has broken. Replace connector or the whole Board? Where can I get a Power Board?

michael ruse - Responder

Where could I find the replacement speaker? My right speaker is buzzing a little on certain songs. Thanks!

I’m not sure if theyd be the same diameter but in general I would suggest searching ebay for “15W full range” and looking to find one with the same measurements that you might be able to fit in there. Might want to change em as a set.

Main thing to watch out for is that you seal the speakers up against the case well. Perhaps some glue of some sorts may be of help.

someone above noticed that there was some buzzing caused by a mispositioned magnet. May be worth checking out.

This may be what you’re looking for but do confirm the size.

Hi, I hope you’re still monitoring this page? I’m trying to locate a replacement power circuit board that has the USB charging port on it. It’s very flimsy and the port has disintegrated on my unit. I have tried replacing just the port but my soldering skills at this tiny level are not good enough, so I want to replace the whole board with a new one. This is the number on it:

SONY 40BKB537U-CNF2G

Does anyone know where I can get one of these? I’m in the UK, but happy to get sent in from anywhere overseas.

Thanks,

Clive
