my iMac 20" intel core duo (#2105) was no longer turning on

Minha Solução

I ended up damaging the SATA HDD connection to the motherboard - the whole connection pulled off the motherboard

I also damaged the plastic housing for the optical disk drive during removal - superglue to the rescue!

I forgot to try removing the cable with a spudger

would like to see BIG RED SHINY letters and warning signs prior to the instructions to remove SATA connection with the spudger (guide - replacing power supply)
