Lock button dead, first cable from eBay seller was junk!

I'm good with electronics so figured I'd give it a shot since the Apple Store wanted $150 to repair it and this was only $24.

Minha Solução

Since I had experience replacing it once with the piece of garbage from an eBay seller, this went smoothly with ifixit's guide and also a video on You Tube. It was 35 minutes from opening the case to closing the case! First time took me about 2 hours!

Meu Conselho

Whatever you do, don't lose the small chrome piece common to the long screw at the top of the connectors cover. This must ground to the main board through the screw to the case to get good wireless signal. Trust me, without it, you have no wifi unless you're standing next to the router!
