Upgraded my 5k 2014 iMac from disk drive to Solid State Drive.

Minha Solução

The initial hard part was overcoming the anxiety of separating the screen. Despite having watched dozens and dozens of YouTube and iFixit videos over the previous year I was still a nervous wreck.

The most time consuming part of the project was removing the glue residue left from the original double sided tape.

Meu Conselho

Be patient. I spread this project out over several weeks. I started with cloning my original disk drive first and ran my new SATA drive via a USB connection for a few weeks to make sure all went well.
