Replaced my 6-year-old Original Battery

My laptop has been heavily used for 6 years, and the battery underwent more than 2200 cycles before the battery management software finally told me it was too old to be charged. I had to replace it with a new one.

It is pretty straightforward: unscrew everything in the back and lift the back lid. The battery is among the first things you would see. Unscrew a few more that fix the battery, unplug the battery, and then just replace it. Undo all the processes you have done: tighten all the screws, and put the back lid back.

Meu Conselho

It may take one minute to align the battery to its exact position so that all the screws can fit in. You may need to remove two screws that fix the audio. You will need a set of professional screwdrivers, one screw needs a proper torx key.
