Meu Problema
The LCD display cable was chipped at the Engine Board side and wasn't maintaining a strong connection. It needed to be replaced.
Minha Solução
The repair went well once I got ahold of the heavy duty suction cups. Using the heat gun, the suction cups, and a lot of patience, I was able to remove the glass from the frame, and then replace the cable.
Meu Conselho
Be VERY patient and heat small sections of the glass at a time. Place the guitar pick type tools under the glass to keep the glass from re-adhering to the frame as you go. I started in the corners and worked the sides next, followed by the top. The glass then could be removed without having to worry too much about the bottom. Resist the temptation to pry the glass away from the frame with a spudger. Use only the suction cups to pull it away after an area has been heated.
