The 3 year old phone wouldn't hold a charge for more than a few hours, but the phone worked great. It was too good to throw away.

I was a little concerned about "cracking" the phone open, but it went very well. I followed the excellent video step by step and the battery replacement only took about 15 minutes! The advice about the tricky parts and warnings in the comments by other people were extremely helpful. It WAS harder to pull the screen off, as the video said, but knowing that gave me the confidence to really muscle it off without it breaking. After installing the new battery be certain to plug the tiny connectors all the way in until they "click" as warned by a user's comment.

Read all the user comments, follow the video step by step, take your time and don't be afraid. All the tools you need come with the battery kit. (I replaced the screen on an iPhone 4 a few months ago with parts, tools and instructions from ifixit and that went great, as well!) Fast delivery, too!
