SSD options from Apple are very expensive.

Minha Solução

It went well. I still shake my head in wonder at overly complicated Apple products. Ordered a new Mac Mini without the SSD and bought a 500 GB Samsung fer' cheap. Followed the guide, installed it and then cloned the drive. Voila! SSD speed and handy Time Machine drive (with an external enclosure).

Meu Conselho

Take a good look at where the little pin is under the power cord connector before you remove it. There is no click or other sensation to know when it is back in its spot.
