Fixing my wife's iPhone 4

Meu Problema

Her home button stopped working reliably (intermittent at best). She spent 2 hours at the Apple store, only to be told her apple care was up, and they did not send her a reminder to renew it. With her phone pretty much useless, she gave me the green light for the repair. I also replaced her battery while I was in there.

Minha Solução

It went really well. I did manage to loose one of the small case screws, but it seems to be doing okay so far.

Meu Conselho

After reading through the guides here, I decided to wear some nitrile gloves all during the repair. I did not have to clean the antennae off, and there has been no wireless issues. I would definitely recommend grabbing a pair for the repair, you can usually find them next to the cleaning supplies at major retailers.

Note to future self: get a paper plate to work over in case of drops, so you don't loose any small parts.
