Meu Problema

When we ordered our Mac Mini years ago, we maxed out the RAM at 4 GB. Still runs but the new iOS and apps bogged it down constantly. Found out that the iOS upgrades allowed us to expand the RAM to 8 GB. So ordered the RAM and a few tools from iFixit to upgrade it.

Minha Solução

Repair instructions were very eas . . .

Meu Problema

I needed a new battery.

Minha Solução

Very well! It worked perfectly!

Meu Conselho

To remove the glued batteries I used an iFixit putty knife and heated it with a miniature blowtorch. Then I placed the heated iFixit putty knife underneath the batteries which melted the glue and enabled me to lift the batteries out. The battery . . .

Meu Problema

I broke my power port when plugging it in to my comp

Minha Solução

It was quite the process... The blue ifixit opening tools were pretty much worthless as they aren't sharp enough to get in the crevices. I think I might have damaged the plug-in part for the battery as I tried plugging it back in but the power isn' . . .

Meu Problema

The headphone jack was defective on ipod classic.

Minha Solução

Hard to get back off, this a question of the correct selection of tools, the blue plastic leavers are a bit crap! Good to have a few 1-2" putty knifes & a few levers to insert into gaps once you have started to create a gap.

Ipod work as it should a . . .

Meu Problema

My water bottle leaked in my pack and got my i-Pod thoroughly soaked. I tried the sack-of-rice drying method to no avail and decided to open the case or throw it away.

Minha Solução

Until you see how the "clips" work, it is difficult to imagine how they work. I checked several websites and You-Tube videos, but sti . . .

Meu Problema

My iPod Classic 160gb stopped working. I've had it for many years and use it almost every day so, I thought maybe it just needed a new battery.

Minha Solução

I have no real experience at repairing things but, my husband can repair almost anything and I have worked with him on many projects. Soooooo. . .when my . . .

Meu Problema

The Mac Mini I had was extremely slow and thankfully had the ability to repair the processor, I did so.

Minha Solução

It went well, the tools I purchased did the job masterfully.

Meu Conselho

Be patient, be kind, and use cable ties.

Meu Problema

I had a problem with the battery. It would no longer hold a charge. While I was at it I decided to put in a new screen and hard drive. (Just to see if I could)

Minha Solução

Could have been better. The videos I watched didn't quite explain how hard the back case was to take off. Other then that it was very simple. . . .

Meu Problema

Battery dead after 7 years

Minha Solução

Relatively easy, I did not damage the rear case. However something is strange after the change: the battery is charging when linked to my iMac or an external battery but not with the apple charger plugged to the wall power outlet.

Meu Conselho

Must be done with patience, Not need to rush

Meu Problema

The battery stopped holding a charge. Could only use it when plugged into the wall.

Minha Solução

Smoother than i expected. Some minor cosmetic damage (bending of sides) but i mean this iPod is coming up on 8 years old and i've dropped it a few times. No shortage of nicks and dings on it already. To have it fixed . . .
